When social media becomes democracy

Let me introduce Facebook. You probably already know it (and use it), being one of the biggest social media platforms in this world. Facebook is used for anything — funny videos, food videos, a place to share personal pictures, private messaging etc. One might think that Facebook’s aim to give people a voice and to connect people would be a good thing for democracy, but at the same time the social media platform also poses a threat to democracy. Most people think it’s no harm and just a platform used to connect with people. There’s more to Facebook than people know.
